NJ Certified Interior Designer

Principal Designer & Owner

Judi Crook is a NJ Certified Interior Designer and a Professional member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).

With more than 19+ years of experience, her project background encompasses luxury residential, multi-family residential, workplace, and hospitality. Some of the projects she is most proud of include a residence at The Beresford at Central Park West, the USA Headquarters for Doctors Without Borders, Hotels in NYC for Marriott, Hotels for Hilton, Cruise Ships for Royal Caribbean, and the launch of the new Virgin Hotel in Nashville, TN.

Judi’s love for Interior Design, Art, and Architecture began at an early age. As a kid she and her best friend spent summer days and weekends making crafts and art projects in her mother’s art studio. She regularly rearranged her room to give it a fresh new energy. Her mother ran a successful graphic design business. Her stepdad enjoys designing and building furniture and homes including a home in Los Cabos, Mexico. Her father worked as a general contractor. Those engagements inspired Judi to pursue her dream of improving lives and communities through design.

Judi graduated from Parsons School of Design, The New School in Manhattan with a BFA in Interior Design. She applied to Parsons while studying design and interior architecture at UNLV (University of Nevada Las Vegas) in pursuit of a childhood dream to one day attend a school of the arts in New York City. Prior to pursuing her passion for design, Judi owned and operated a successful third party logistics management company working with furniture manufacturers, trade show exhibitors, military personnel for residential relocations, and more.

Judi has earned the highest professional qualification in the field of Interior Design, Certified Interior Designer. This means, in addition to having a “great eye”, she earned her degree from an accredited university. She worked for many years in Southern California, Las Vegas, and NYC designing projects in the US and abroad. To expand and challenge her knowledge, she studied for and passed the 3 part NCIDQ Exam. And her education, experience, and knowledge have been evaluated and endorsed by some of New Jersey’s most respected Architects and Designers on the New Jersey State Board of Architects.

Why is this Certification important? Designers who advance themselves to take the NCIDQ and become Professional Certified Interior Designers have a proven commitment to ensure they protect public health, safety, and welfare. “They have distinguished themselves by demonstrating a specific set of core competencies, supported by verified work experience and a college degree. They have proven their expertise in understanding and applying current codes established to protect public health, safety, and welfare. They are passionate about their profession and dedicated to its recognition and integrity.” (cidq.org, para. 2) As a Certified Interior Designer, Judi, continues to educate herself and stay up to date on the latest industry developments and trends.
